I’m Hilary Harrold

a business accountability coach based in Sussex, working with small business owners across Surrey, Sussex, London and beyond.

After over 20 years in the corporate world I set up on my own.  I know exactly what it feels like to go from a big team behind you to just… you. That transition is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming.

Cardinal Support Services came about because I wanted to be the person I wished I’d had in my corner when I started out.  Someone experienced, honest and genuinely invested in helping your business thrive.

Throughout all my various roles I have always had a knack of looking at how things are done and coming up with ideas on how to do them more effectively.  This may range from simply changing a process or a form, to using technology to make processes run more smoothly.

My quality assurance experience helps me understand how to check things are working properly.  It also supports how to comply with other requirements such as legal or industry best practice.

Cardinal Support Services was born out of my desire to help small business owners keep on top of the actions needed to run their business and achieve their business goals.

The name came from a combination of things:  Cardinal meaning  foremost importance or paramount; The Cardinal butterfly – representing transformation; and Cardinal was the name of the road my father grew up in.

As an accountability coach I create time for sole business owners to focus on their business activities.  I do this by:

• identifying tools and techniques to reduce the overwhelm of having so many things to do
• providing a sounding board for ideas and issues; someone to talk to when things don’t go right and someone to  celebrate the good things with
• Support mindest changes that are often needed when running your own business

I love to keep business owners on top of running their business.

When working with clients I explore their goals and ambitions for their business and what is stopping them achieving them.  From here we come up with clear goals and a realistic set of actions to achieve these.  This tailored process also includes looking at:

• time management techniques
• reviewing processes
• streamlining processes
• looking at tasks to outsource
• identifying tasks to stop doing
• the financial aspects of running a company
• mind set
• implementing quality assurance processes

Based in Sussex, I work with clients across Surrey, Sussex and London in person, and virtually with clients anywhere.
